I have been in Palm Springs and the Salton Sea area for 3 days now, this part of the country really opened my eyes a lot!
Palm Springs, completely non-traditional buildings, very modern style. The wind farm here is just amazing! With nearly a thousand wind mills…each one is 300ft tall…completely amazing view! Nice people with a lot of Mexicans or at least Spanish speaking!
Salton Sea, I won’t introduce this place much, I am sure you can google it up…fasinating place! However, due to the toxic environment, the sea is dying and rotting! The water smells more like dead body more than sea smell. Many people moved out and buildings got torn down. When people in Lohas park area say the landfill stinks…wait until you move to Salton Sea, then they will know it really is very livable at Lohas Park. By the way, flies and dead fishes dominate the whole shoreline!
